@sprengmeister00 Es gab eigentlich 2 sowjetischen Tests, 20 Megatonnen waren, das macht diese Bombe die fünftgrößte jemals gezündet.

@Ugnele They are condensation clouds in the turbulent air left in the wake of the passing shock front from the blast. Similar in principle to the condensation sometimes seen in the vicinity of an airliner wing. Also note the darkening right after detonation - that's caused by rapid formation of oxides of nitrogen that temporarily block some of the light from the blast. If you ever see tremendous brightening followed by dark then even more yellowish light, a nuke has gone off near you :)

@THeseekerman77 Makes you wonder that if there really was a big-bang, could it have been something like this on a cosmic scale?

@Ugnele They have varying names for them depending on the weather conditions that make them prominent. Ice caps, ice rings, and so forth. I saw a video once that detailed every visual aspect, but could not find it again. Here is the best I could find off-hand : Watch 29:08 - 30:00 at this link for YouTube watch?v=3zJ5ik5Na60 If the link does not work type in declassified u.s. nuclear test film #10 on the YouTube search.
It is rather beautiful considering it's themost destructive weapon know to mankind.
