Next time, edit straight to the crash.

Sorry for your mishap. I was up there at Americade in early June and traveled the same road. Lots of cars and bikes then and lots of times when things just happen and you have to react. My guess is you slammed on the rear brake and then let go of the brake. That causes a highside over the handlebars. When skidding, just keep the brake on and ride it out. The MSF course teaches this. Best thing is to keep lots of spacing between you and other vehicles when riding.

Do you want me to call an ambulance?

"OUCH" Brings back memories I didn't want to have come back... I was traveling in the back countries in San Diego and hit a guardrail at 30 mph "Blinded by the sun!" I broke my tibia on the left leg also and went through surgury and now I have a rod in my left leg...
I'm still recovering to this day, I have to go through physical thearapy and all... How's your leg doing? You have to to go through physical thearpy also? How long is it going to be?

I shattered the end of my left tibia under the knee. I had a bone graft w/ donor bone (I have dead people in me) and have a plate with eight screws. I did about three months of physical therapy but I still go to the gym 5 days a week and use the elliptical machine. It seems to be paying off as friends and co-works say that my limp is almost gone.

great footage. guard rails, dirt, trees, all moving really fast, and then a guy whining.
3 minutes I will never get back...

Be happy it was only three minutes... 3 months of my summer and a weeks vacation, I'll never get back.
