I have seen great videos with the curly hair solutions line but almost every product on their line includes DMDM Hydantoin, which is basically formaldehyde. The last time I checked this is not very natural. Your hair is always awesome though and I enjoy your videos.

Nice! I also agree that the Extenzz did not reduce shrinkage on my hair, but is a good curl definer--which you can get much cheaper products to define curls.

@caracara011 Exactly! It gave really good definition, but you can absolutely find something cheaper to do the trick.

@MiracleinStars Calm down sis. By "RELAX" they mean "ELONGATE" and to prevent shrinkage. The product didn't loosen my curls or alter my texture at all...as you can clearly see by watching the video. It gave me the same results as if I used EcoStyler gel. And when I wash my hair today my texture was still intact. Thanks for your concern, but I love my hair!

@KinkyKurlyQueen In all fairness it did seem from the video that the purpose was to "non chemically relax" b/c you did not explain the meaning in the vid as you do in the comments.

Hate that I'm so late finding this. Too many concerns about this product for me to consider it but the review is lacking because the product wasn't applied correctly. The same results could have been achieved with just the Curl Keeper. In order to prevent shrinkage and loosen the curl pattern, the Extenzz has to be applied using combs, brushes, and tension. Thanks for sharing your results.

have you tried using the products with the root brush like he shows in this video. i am looking for new products that help reduce shrinkage on my 4a hair. What other producst would you say reduce shrinkage as well?

love this video, and love your hair, i've found my hair twin! Our textures are almost identical... anyway, have you tried any of miss jessies products? the meringue (i think that's how you spell it) does the same thing but it actually gives you more hang time..

great review! i don't really see how a product can prevent shrinkage for curly/kinky hair (that's just a natural thing cos these textures have medium to high elasticity), but i always got suckered into that claim and have been going back and forth with whether to buy it or not, i'll leave it alone for now!! lol :) lovely hair!
