@gelbesweissbrot I love the SMG. I opted 4 it. And it shifts far better than most people can and 10x faster and the double clutches are always perfect.If you say it sucks, you haven't driven it.I bet if you took 100 drivers and had them hot lap a standard trans and then an SMG 95 of them would take the SMG. I had an 2006 Porsche Turbo with the LAME tiptronic. Put 900 miles on it and traded it in.My last Porsche,a 2008 Turbo,was a stick.If its paddles were as good as BMW, I would go with it.

True. '06 was 7-speed SMG only in the U.S. '07-up we got the 6-speed manual.

Hey, I've noticed at 1:37 that this M5 have a 6 speed manual gearbox, how is it possible? Transplant?

BMW USA offers the E60 M5 with a 6-speed manual transmission. I believe the 6-speed option is exclusive to the North American market.
