Say I want to get an HD PVR to capture my xbox360 gameplay (My Monitor only has a port/slot for an HDMI Cable) - Could I use this to be able to record my gameplay? Because the HD PVR and most other Recording Devices use Component Cables.

Does this look better than just buying Component plugs for the ps3? I already have component plugs for my ps3. Will the hdmi converter to component plugs make it display more clear than the green,blue,red,plug?

I have an old tv that does not have an HDMI plug. I want to put my Motorola Xoom on my TV. Will this work. If so is there a setting that needs to be changed on my TV to make it work. Please help me.

I got this and honestly it does upgrade the quality of the colors and sharpness of the image however i'm having an issue where it off centers the image on my screen. Instead of 2 small black bars on both sides of the screen i have one big black bar on the right of the screen. I'm using this to record to an HD PVR and it looks better but the black bar is a slight annoyance.

Im sure a blu-ray player would have component outputs, and the PS3 has a component cable sold separately.
