The benefits of this gate include speed of operation and the ability to stop not only HGV's,
but also motorcyclesand pedestrians, providing a distinct advantage over Road Blockers,
Bollards or Barriers.
The MVG crash rated Swing Gate has withstood a demanding crash test at the UK Transport
Research Laboratory vehicle testing facility, shrugging off the impact of a 7.5 tonne vehicle
travelling at 80Kph (50 mph) and continuing to operate as normal.
Hi PlatypusVomit, There are a number of vehicle crash test levels to conform with.
This video is for K4 rating which states:
SD-STD-02.01 Revision B U.S. Department of State Crash Test rating indicating a barrier with this rating can withstand a 15,000-pound vehicle crashing perpendicularly into the barrier at 30 mph or 48 kph.

I love how every single one of these bollard/barrier tests is with an unloaded truck. Let's see how they do with a tractor trailer with 50,000 lbs chained down properly.
