It's to stall for time so that the manga can be ahead of the anime. Cause nobody would wanna watch the anime if they can just read the manga. And if u haven't noticed, the manga needs several chapters to be in just one episode. At least Tite Kubo made Bleach for us to watch. Being a creator of an anime isn't easy cause if u make a decision with the story, ur fans will be all "why'd u do that!" and other crap. Its best to just enjoy the ani

...with if bleach is really that long still? I'm guessing that 87 chapters should give around 26~ episodes maybe more depending on how many action scenes are in the series left. Bleach has 263 episodes now if you remove all the fillers I bet it only has around 80-100 maybe less. I understand they are trying their best to push them out to keep their fans but can you honestly say you're enjoying this filler arc this time around? Why not something that relates in with the story instead? - Khaltazar

It's been a year and a half of pure fillers though. Don't you think they would give us a little to go on? Bleach isn't gaining any fans on this delayed filler marathon. Someone claiming they "know" a guy who works with the creation of Bleach says the fillers stop at episode 272. That is still around 9 week away which is another 9 chapters the manga artist can produce. If you add that to the 78 chapters they should have made (1 per week * 1 1/2 years) they shold have 87 or more chapters to work..

@DengrayKai211 Can't do anything about it. The author of Bleach has released chapters that could be take up 5 minutes or less of the anime episode, so I guess we need 200+ chapters before the anime picks up
