My eighth grade science class had to build bridges constructed only of Flat, Rounded, Diamond Toothpicks and Elmer's glue, and on the last two days of school, we had our competition. We put the bridges across a span of 30 centimeters, and hung a tray connected to the bridges underneath. In the end, my bridge held five books, two boxes of nails, a three ring hole puncher, a heavy bag of metallic spheres, and 34 rulers. My construction held more weight than any other that was tested. The average held by other bridges was about 3 or 4 books. This video was recorded on June 9, 2009.
