  • You guys have to advertise this show more, I'm talking facebook and all that, post updates that the show will be on multiple channels before it goes on. Great show, watched every episode.

  • It gets good at 10:36 when our old friend Hasan joins the debate.

  • The Earth took 4 days and the universe took 2 days, because that makes sense in the 7th century. I mean, water, land, grass, trees, caves, rock, minerals, deserts, insects, animals etc. Then to top it off, a big bright sun, a moon, the sky and finally a sprinkle of sparkly dots in the sky.

How would they have known each sprinkly dot is an entire sun, and that there are unfathomable numbers of earths out there. :-)

  • In fact, languages change rapidly normally. What actually greatly hinders languages evolving is literacy. Once writing spreads, the idea of "correct" usage emerges using the existing literature as standard. But the benefits are immense, for example - this comment can be understood by around half of humanity. Unprecedented level of communication after standardization.

  • I'm doing first year linguistics...and the whole idea of "inferior" languages is just mindbogglingly hilarious. Every language is complex, the more offroad and untouched cultures surprisingly have the most complex languages. Areas with skyscrapers and mobile phones have complex languages, but VERY streamlined for efficiency. With my basic understanding of Arabic, 7th century colloquial Hijazi Arabic is unintelligible to modern Arabs - so he's talking out his ass.

  • The discussion about the differences in arabic make me think of how different english can be. (not meaning the diffferences between countries)

The everyday noraml english that most people speak is slightly different to 'proper' english eg who instead of whom etc

  • @proofandevidence Yeah. Both the MS and JT show have terrible advertising. I WANT to watch these shows but never know when they are going to be on.
