Among the twenty-first tragedies is that there STILL isn't any mechanism for the US to cohesively examine & debate its militarist foreign policy, let alone the political courage or integrity to indict the officials who were instrumental in promoting lies & dogma as justification for the supreme crime against peace resulting in horrific warcrimes, atrocities, occupation-in-force, theft of resources & doctrine of kidnappings & torture that have devastated Afghan & Iraqi society, culture, economy.

I just read the book - it's horrifying. The stories all come from American veterans of the Iraq war. If more people knew what hapens to innocent adults and children in a war there would be a lot less support for any war. Or so I'd like to think, anyway.
