@halopartyboy In my opinion I think it's best upside down with vents at the highest points and the fill hole at the highest of those, all that's left after that is tilting and burping the mold as shown here to let the air escape. I might be an amateur at this but I hope this can help :)

Im trying to cast a rather large rifle out of resin, where should my fill hole be? It has a carrying handle and I think that air could get trapped in it, but I also thought that I could use the barrel as a starting point for my fill hole and go from there

can you sand and paint the resin once it has cured? can this be used to make car parts like hoodscoops?

Can you use a heat lamp to dry your resin?

When I die, I want my body to be set into a clear resin block.

How do I make my pieces colored? Can you add things to it prior or can you only paint after? Thanks

could i use caulk instead of silicon ???
Could you please give me an idea of where I can purchase casting resin and RTV silicone? I've actually gone to a few places without luck.

visit smooth-on. com for the resin, and bare-metal. com for the RTV silicone. I like the Smooth-cast 320 resin, and the l 71-20 silicone RTV.

the mold can be done in plasticine or resin is heated as it cools?

Plasticine clay sometimes has sulphur that will cause the silicone NOT to cure, so be sure to NOT use those types of plasticine clays. But yes, a simple mold can, be made from P-Clay.

Very good video, I have 2 questions:
Is that how they do most of the star wars resin blaster parts?? Can you add aluminum powder to the mixture to give it a metal finish?
