I understand what you are trying to say, but God tells us in His Word that if we pray and ask for His forgiveness, He will hear us and we will be forever saved. He tells us that when we pray, and by the way, you need to mean it, He writes His name in the book of life. Look it up in the Bible. He doesn't write it with something that can be erased, either. He writes in permanent ink. My answer does make since. I'm not telling you what I think, I'm telling you what God says.

@kenaniah7 WHAT? The lyrics talk about Jesus making so that we just have to ask our sins forgiven in all earnest instead of sacrificing a lamb. As for your example: who are you to decide what places us where? Do you know God's plan? Are you in charge of the book of life? No. As for your answer to yourself, that didn't make sense either. Ask your pastor or priest what I mean.
