Why do people hate emo/scene kids.

I never in my wildest dreams thought that 50,000 people would scrutinize this video, and that three years later people would STILL be commenting on it. It's prodigious. This topic really doesn't have an ending date does it?

Some emo and scenes ARE posers and so stereotypical and rude but they aren't all like that you know? People need to understand that for a majority of people labelled scene or emo are not cuz they are posers.For them its not a trend its a way of life! Its how they express themselves.People say Fag they look gay, the music is shit ect.To them its not?Its what they like what makes them happy.Just because its not YOUR style doesn't make it shit or give u the right to hate on it. and no im not scene.

hey sweety i dont put down emo kids its just that emo is a cheap copy of goth punk and metal thats why most rockers hate them. im a punk rocker (if you must know). imagine yourself being called something your not because of som other person all that time making a reputation and a name for your self, punk has been around scince 1969 emo has been around scince 1999, ive interviewd a few and in reality NONE OF THEM ACTUALLY KNOW WHERE THE MUSICAL OR STYLE COMES FROM. compare BVB WITH THE MISFITS

@MrSpunkshooter While I strongly dislike emo and scene kids, I do believe it is okay to label one's self if you honestly feel you will identify with a culture for the rest of your life. We all enjoy something, some label or genre. It's impossible as a human not to.

@JessTheFun1 It is a trend? What more depth is their to it? They wear what they do for attention, not to express themselves. Can't you see it's a fad and a phase they go through when they think they don't get enough attention. That is a product of parents who spoil their children to the point to where they don't know what depravity is! If they truly did maybe they'd know what real life problems are. Maybe they'd come down to reality and stop acting like little children in a fantasyland.

i don't think people hate scene kids; i think scene kids demand attention and not everyone will give them positive feedback on their EDGY hair cut, some people will call it stupid because let's be honest, it kind of is. also, it is no one's fault if someone cuts themselves, you are only responsible for your own actions. when someone says "i'm gonna cut myself and it's so and so's fault", that person is a moron and you're right they probably do need help.
