actually, the armor it's powered by nuclear technology

'Cause it's a micro fusion generator, Fusion has a much lower chance to go critical, and even when it does, it's not as violent as the fission generators we use today in power plants, on top of even if it does get to the exploding point, it's as easy as turning it off to stop it from blowing.

Bullets aren't going to cause it to suddenly blow. heck, the only spartan armor to blow they had gone out of there way to deliberately do it.
