omfg this rocks! looks awesome! Its funny to read about the people who were too young to have a N64 criticizing this game and the hype it is getting from veteran players. PD is a 12 year old(give or take) game, and while its old in many ways, for its time it was extremely innovative and a jewel to be had in the gaming world. Certain enjoyable aspects of its gameplay still, to this day, have not been incorporated in FPS's.

the facility level in perfect dark is only playable in the multiplayer part of the game

Although this game deserves a lot of flak, it's shameful by comparison to the original Nintendo 64 version. Man, the original was beautiful. No, it IS beautiful. But you're right, a lot of the best aspects of this game aren't in more recent FPSs, I heard TimeSplitters has it though. Haven't played it, though.
