On May 3, 2009, a large mulch fire started to burn in Laveen, Arizona. This video was shot on the 2nd day of the fire, after fire crews managed to contain it. There was still quite a bit of smoke lingering in the air, which caused the nearby high school to close.
This video was shot with the help of a Hawkeye camera plane, designed by Joel Scholz of ElectricFlights.com. This was also my first aerial video shot with the assistance of a live video downlink (aka. FPV). More photos of my outing that day can be found in the following two links:
