Cant for the life of me understand why these pedals are so overpriced these days...
-
I think those blips and other glitches might be consequense of strings hitting the frets when you muting the strings. But I think you know better because you actually own this pedal and so. :D

@Aussietuga i think its safe to blame Christopher Wolstenholme

@lj0281 I have a Korg G5 (I paid about $150). I'd say the tracking sounds about as good as the Deep Impact pedal from what I've heard on YouTube.
-
SB1s are severely overpriced because:
1) Bass player from Muse uses one.
2) They're no longer in production
3) They are one of the best Bass Synth pedals ever made - good tracking, good sounds, and programmable which makes it great for live use.
IMHO, try to find a Korg G5, which is the most comparable unit, and it won't cost you nearly $1000 to buy. Just got one for $150 (although, that was truly a steal). They usually run about $300, but are also out of production and can be hard to find.

600 bucks....sell to me !

It is the most impressive and simply the best synth pedal for a bass...try an electro harmonix or a boss...nothing on the deep impact...I would buy it because it is so great and chris wolstenholme is my fav bassist.
-
the hysteria sound comes from this pedal. chris wolstenholme uses an sb1 akai deep impact bass synth pedal.
-
nice synth sounds, I wouldn't mind getting a double neck guitar and bass and have this pedal for my bass-synth lines
