as a big fan of old science fiction movies, I'm looking forward to reading this book. many critics have been having a hard time with it. that could be a good sign.

I stumbled across "The Four Fingers of Death" after reading a mediocre review of the book in the S.F. Chronicle - Moody was being compared to Brautigan and Vonnegut. So I went out and bought the book. I'm about have way through it at this time. I had a hard time buying into it at first, but now I'm happily drifting along with the story. So far so good.
