Early in Paul's career, he wrote an essay about interstellar trade, in which systems in different times and with different interest rates traded with each other. In 1991, he received a medal that is only awarded to economists under 40. In 1987, he wrote another article about free trade that showed that showed that free trade theory needs to be much more nuanced.
The New York Times eventually invited Krugman to write a column twice weekly so that they could have a more liberal slant on economics. Paul's new book the Conscience of a Liberal argues that the government is much more important than the marketplace.
He was born in 1953, and he eventually received his PhD. He is the most important columnist in America, and he is the most celebrated economist of his generation. He has advised the Federal Reserve, and he has written or coauthored 20 books.
He can see events coming far before anyone else, so he creates a model about it, then he always has to wait for other economists to catch up. This can be quite irritating for other economists. His assumption always strike at the heart of the matter. He comes to his conclusions by looking at the facts. Then he has the genius of translating all of the data into an accessible form.
