Ka mo'olelo o hi' glassblowing HAWAII CULTURE ART GLASS ALOHA

The DaFactory glassblowing team was invited to the University of Hawaii to do this demonstration of Ka mo'olelo o hi' - This is a sculpture based on the story told to us by Daniel Anthony and Solomon Enos. We filmed this historic event and I will be cutting it down in the editing room sometime this year. This is one of the greatest merges of are and culture that I have been a part of. This incredible piece represents a story from the book Hi'iakaikapoliopele. Amazing! i dont know how you can even breath during the whole construction, i would be terrified. i dont see a lot of finished piece pictures at the end of these videos. do they make it out of the annealer?
