The ducks don't have a pond but they have water troughs to drink and preen in. Being barn kept it i difficult to have a pond. There is a need provide ducks water for drinking and preening but it does not need to be in the form of a pond. As long as they have water to drink then that is what is important.

As long as the conditions are correct and the ducks are happy then they will lay one egg a day all year round!
