If you think maya is frustrating you have to try c4d

@thebigboss1212 well of course if you are a beginer, you have to start with something easyier than maya, in my opinion you shout start using c4d, and learn all its features, training for about a year then move on maya.

Wait I'm confused about where you got the cross for the top of the screw???

@bongobl it works as u said it would .haven't use boolean in a long time because it mess up geometry (my opinion).thanx for your replay

@3Mever no, I understand, your solution works but if the two "subtracting" objects are intersecting eachother, the intersecting part won't be subtracting from the 3rd object.
For best results, use a boole to union the 1st and 2nd objects together to morph their geometry, and drop that bool under another boole to subtract the 3rd

@bongobl look like you didn't get the answer.in the boolean object the hierarchy should be like this: object that you want to subtract from and under it(not a child to it)
you should place a null object that include all the objects to be subtracted from the first object.if i'm not clear enough just send me a message.

make it faster next time

Haha! He said redude it (reduce it)! Great Tutorial
in your tutorial, you made ONE object subtract volume from the other (spline and the screw) how do you make 2 objects subtract from the third, how would you parent/child different objects?
