@ionkar1 its scrap paper.. i'm just gonna throw it away after I make the vid, so i'm not gonna use good paper..

Actually I think you made some good points. Thanks. I recently learned a shortcut bomb base and preliminary fold from some postings which I really appreciated as well.

Jeremy Schafer has some shortcuts to water bomb base and preliminary base in some of his videos. See his hand skeleton origami. Similar technique works with preliminary fold. He has this in another video but I cannot recall which one.
