Catch Me
- - - - -
Joe bit his lip, staring at the concrete highway below his Vans [shoes]. Closing his eyes, he sucked in oxygen before breathing it back out. He could not bring himself to look in the eyes of Miley's; not when she was like this. "What do you want me to do?" He asked quietly, behind his words, he was demanding a second chance.

Miley stared at him through her troubled eyes, running her hands through her thick hair she told him, "I-I just want you to be my boyfriend," She confessed. Bringing her hands down, she brought up one arm, close to his face. Slowly, she rubbed her palm against his rough cheek. "I love you, Joe." She whispered. Gently, she began to pull her torso towards his. Laying her head on his chiseled chest, she closed her eyes and tried to feel the passion -- she couldn't. Instead, she put her hand down and wrapped both of them around his slim waist.

"I love you too," Joe choked out, on the brink of tears as well. Wrapping his toned arms around her petite waist. "and Im sorry," He apoligized, he never wanted to hurt her, infact it was the last thing he wanted to do. "Im just a jealous bastard, I guess." He joked, resting his chin on her frazzled hair.

"You are." Miley agreed, laughing. Although, secretly, she meant her words. "C'mon, lets go home." She looked up and told him, as they made their way down the pull-over section of the reckless highway.

---- next scene ----

Joe kissed Miley goodnight at her doorstep, "Goodnight, doll." He told her, before walking down the steps and running to his house. Quickly, he disapeared behind the thick door of his Uncle's House. Waving her goodbye, his face faded into the blackness of the inside, the door closing.

Miley stared after the door for a few seconds, wondering if it was truly too late for her to stay out, that way she could spend time with Joe. She shook away the thought, her father must already be in a tight fit on the inside, expecting her. Slowly, she turned the bronze knob and carefully walked in, closing the door behind her silently. "Hello?" She whispered into the utter darkness of the cold, dark, hallway. "Is anyone here?" She wondered, hanging up her jacket behind her where the hanger once was. Instead her jacket fell onto the floor, causing what Miley believed was an earthquake of noise.

"I see your home," A voice broke into the dark hallway. The bright lights flickered on, illuminating the hallway and causing Miley to shield her eyes away from them. After a few moments of readjusting her eyes to the sudden change in vision, she peered through a space in her arms and tried to make out the figure at the end of the hall: her father.

"Oh... hey, daddy." Miley smiled innocently, slowly she brought her hands down from her face. "Want anything to eat? I can fix up something good to eat. You want any tacos, or nacho's or.. or.." She began to babble, hopefully her father's mind would focus more on the food then the punishment.

"No." Said Billy Ray very sternly, his voice deadpan. "What I want to know..." He paused, trying to come up with the appropiate words for the situation, "is what the FUCK you were thinking tonight, Miley Ray Stewart!" He yelled, angrily he glared at her with a powerful amount of intensity. For a moment, Miley believed that he hated her. When she tried to speak, instead, he held up his index finger, commanding her to silence herself. "Im not done yet, Miley Ray. I want to know how you could even put your hands on another HUMAN BEING--"

"Dad, she hit me first!" Miley yelled in defense of herself. Billy Ray gave her the death look, then she imediatley stopped speaking.

"But you didn't have to hit her, Miley Ray Stewart. You and Nick could have walked away, and nothing would have been the more wiser. Instead, you get into a fight, get kicked out and leave with the BOY that brought that girl--" Once more, Billy Ray was cut off in the middle of his argument by his outspoken daughter.

"His name is Joe," She gritted through her teeth.

"I don't care!" Billy Ray responded honestly, throwing his hands into the air as though already was he tired of the conversation. "What I do care about is the fact that everytime that Joe is around, you two get into nothing but mischief!"

"Thats not true!" Miley yelled in a voice loud enough for the lights in Joe's house to all flicker on. Faces of the brothers, Kevin, little Frankie, and Joe all tried to peer into the living room. They could not see much considering that the windows were not perfectly alligned.

"Yes it is," He pressed. "I warned your sister Brandy about Joe, but I didn't think I would have to warn you." Shaking his head, he added, "now, Im going to threaten you. You had better stop fooling around with that boy. I don't want to hear any word or see you and Joe together, ever again." Angrily, he turned his back and started down the hallway.
