Nikon D40 Photography

I jsut got this camera 2 days ago, these are some sample pictures.

Review: This is my very first DSLR, im only 14 so yeah...
the camra is pretty easy to use, still figuring it out a bit, for anyone woh is thikning of buying this but is turned off by the 6mp, go to this, i took this with the kit lens on the "p" setting on the mode dial. http://www.flickr.com/photos/jeffhurd/3010607685/sizes/l/

i've been thinking of getting that camera for a while cause i have a fujifilm camera that sucks

and i was a little scared about it only being 6 mega pixels but seeing these pictures makes me think otherwise

The camera is quite okay, it has its limits, but hey, it's the cheapest DSLR in Nikon/Canon line, and the kit lens is very good. Consider buying the cheapest flash (SB-400) and your pictures will be magnificent. Forget the built-in flash, it's is a hard light and makes the typical "shoot on the forehead" type pictures.

Yeah, i accidentally dropped the camera and broke the 18-55mm kit lens so i only have a 55-200mm left. and for the flash, yeah im getting a SB-600, but for now i made a little modification to the build it flash, its just a homemade defuser, and it works amazing.

havent seen these photos in a while, and i must admit, they are pretty shitty, but thanks alot everyone for the pos comments :)

and yeah, that insulin, been diabetic for like 9 or 10 years now :(

Can you tell me what or which lenses were used? You use external flash?

6 megapixels is fine unless your making big prints and just to make you lol a Nikon D40 can take way Superior pictures than a point and shoot because of sensor size and the way it focuses)

the d40 is a great camera! nice photos! the only reason you want more mega pixels is for bigger prints
