that's really nice! it sounds much cleaner than my old tascam 488 used to!!
But i'm wondering about the mixing process at the end, you were using other gadgets etc, particularly the 'ProTrack" what's that? whats' it do? also I like the trick of hiding the phone in the cushions to record the drums, must have been a bit of experimentation before getting that right!
I haven't understood completely how this works, if I wanna make a song with just different sounds with my mouth for example. Lets say I do the base first then the drums. Can I have the base playing while I record the drums??
Yes... precisely. I play guitar. First I lay down the guitar track, then hit 'rewind' and sing the vocal part while simultaeously hearing the guitar. Then I rewind all that, and record a harmony part while listening to the first guitar and vocal track.

Do I need an external mic though?
Is the one on the iphone good enough quality?
