why does there need to be clapping? Why? Why can't you just enjoy the beauty of the music. It creates a better experience imo. Its annoying as hell when you go to a show like this and there is some cracked out sorority girl on adderall talkin her ass off during the whole show.

Wow. A little while ago I was listening to the studio album version in my car. Hearing this version makes me understand and fully appreciate true immensity of Jeff Tweedy's already enormous talent as an artist and as a musician.
Awesome. Just awesome. Unbelievably awesome talent.
Thanks for posting this...

Well I'm going to see Jeff's solo show here in MN at the end of March, and I requested "Muzzle of Bees," which is my favourite Wilco song, but I'll be so happy if he plays this.

Jeff is an awesome guitarist.

does anyone know the tab to this!?!?!

What a fucking lovely musician.

Actually, I saw Wilco perform this song several times in 2002 on the YHF tour, and this is the original arrange
ment of the song. They rearranged it two years later for A Ghost is Born to the version most are familiar with. I'm pretty stoked to hear a return to the original idea.

I had a hard time enjoying the original version of this song, but this is an amazing version, so different from the record. Now I love both versions. 2 for 1, thanks Jeff!!

It's very funny, I've seen Wilco/Tweedy about 6 times now, and the audiences have always been very sedate. Into it, but not overly excited. Which is cool, except when I am singing along with the songs I love and people are looking at me with complete disdain!

@SeizureToday, yes, it appears he can not sell out.

Wilco played a version similar to this in Savannah Georgia. It was my first time hearing it performed acoustically, I was utterly blown away.
Such a great version! "Spiders" is one of my favourite songs from the album, and it's so cool to hear it like this.
I love when Jeff takes an song from an album and completely changes it. Consider the difference between the version of "Sunken Treasure" on Being There and the version which appeared in the movie "I Am Trying To Break Your Heart," which is pretty much the way they do it now.

And the songs keep evolving, changing a little every time they elbow their way back onto the setlist.

This is the way I remember originally hearing this. Wilco played it this way at Bumbershoot in Seattle in 2002 and I will *always* love this version. So much better (IMO) than what's on A Ghost is Born. Thanks for posting!!

I have a bootleg of that Bumbershoot show, and I was thrilled to hear him perform this arrangement at the show.
On the other hand, though, hearing Wilco tear through Spiders live, especially lately, is the closest you'll ever get to seeing God.

This brings up the question: is there anything Jeff Tweedy can't do?

Once I saw him grab a lump of coal and squeeze it with his fist. A few moments later, he gave me a diamond.
