Why is the guitarsound distorting so much when the pedal is engaged, doesn't sound as distorted when it's bypassed at 3:45

The gain knob on the pedal is below 12 a clock so it shouldn't be boosting the signal either..

@skurtix The phaser itself is very clean and low noise. The distortion you hear comes from playing a 20 watt tube amp at a level beyond bedroom volumes mixed with the phaser's maximum amount of resonance. Thanks,

Andy, your demos really are the best. sometimes i listen to them just for the pleasure of hearing your playing and tasteful song selection. That said, i find the music that is mixed in with your verbal introduction rather distracting.

Also, any chance this lovely creature can do a convincing Bi-Phase?
