The benefit of wearing the Birth-Control Glasses (BCGs) in basic training, protection of your eyes from particles and liquids flying at your face, in forests with branches at eye level.

You can wear regular glasses after that.

While in, try to work out your arm lift ability, pull-up bars. Also, try swimming.

I think service members should try the blood type diet.

Type A's are not supposed to be strenuous exercise types, but we can do Yoga, Tai Chi, and Pilates (Feel the BURN!). And the diet will keep you healthy from sickness.

And hopefully less arthritis and injury in your life time.

Always be concerned about your health in the military.

How you deal with pain is up to you.

But quieter is usually better. Tears and no words is best.

Speaking shows you have enough mind together to complain. Saying nothing, but then exploding on a guy, gets the point across.

My "pity me" story of stupidity and male machismo.

Don't let other service members influence you or get to you. Especially when it comes to "proving your masculinity."

Asking questions or being quiet can help or hurt. If you can speak well enough to be understood and have enough personality, the choice is yours.

How "Respect" from authority figures is wierdly thrown around and used in certain circumstances, or with certain points of view.

If you are in charge, and your subordinate messes up, don't EXPLODE on the guy. That's bad leadership and is you putting on a show.

(When I felt the "punishment" I was receiving was bologne, I would start doing clapping push-ups. Keep doing it till they tell you to stop, not before. If they ask why, just say, "I don't know, just thought about doing it.")

Interesting video even though you where driving while recording it, lol. Basically physical training is for character development and that means personal character development. Put this in a perspective of team sports and their training regime this people do serious physical training serious drills and they're not military related but the do have to go through this type of training in order to perform accurately in the field because this is both physical and mental put together!!

@miamiice There are several things going on at once. There is a chance you will feel some changes within you during Basic.

But I think it is a year into your service that your perspective and understanding will begin to change. (Likely due to the "thought control" practices used by the military; "How to handle stress," "How to not be racist," "Preventing STDs/HIV/AIDS transmission," etc.)

@Strahdvon Just because u join the military doesnt mean you'll throw a dog off a cliff as a job. That isnt the military's job anyways. Our job is to keep the peace or fight a war between 2 conflicting countries.

GOod chance of being seriously injured if you join the military. I was watching robocop the otherday and even in that movie when they anounce the cop was critically injured and lieing in hospital the media break guys clenches his fis and says "good luck frank" hoping he gets well. I have never heard the real media saying they hope the injured personal get well. HOw fucked up is the word lately
