  • the Great underrated Artist

  • Virgin didn't dump him. He decided to leave Virgin, because he knew they wouldn't be happy with Blemish, as it was not exactly 'X-Factor money making' type. It took lots of guts to leave the security of a major label for the sake of wanting to make such a non-commercial album, but so honest and pure. Not many people can understand an artist who is not money-orientated. Althought they can understand Simon Cowel and even admire his fortune-making flair.

  • OMG, people!Japan days is over, deal with it, look in the future, Sylvian, Jansen, Barbieri (RIP Mick Karn) making great music

  • @sonsielass1 I hoped you would appreciate it :)

I have to admit that my reaction was largely determined by things like "arguement" (not an English word) and such; I would have taken a well-written comment more seriously.

As for Sylvian, he lost it completely on his last 3 or 4 albums, I agree, but his solo work up until Blemish was really great and definitely not self-indulgent. As far as anything thereafter is concerned, have at it and I'll back you all the way.

    Better? :)

  • @Regalseven Em.......ok, if you say so! Peace!

  • @gormarx How refreshing to hear an intelligent, well balanced arguement for once!! Don't take an alternative opinion so personally. It's not like I insulted your mother. Chill out....Not everyone has to agree with your opinion to have a valid arguement. I actually LOVED Japan in my teens. I just feel he needs to take himself a tad less seriously in his current musical direction.
