64 students from the School of Life Sciences at EPFL (Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, Lausanne) chose Japan as the destination for a final project in their Bachelor course. The group, one of the largest delegations from Switzerland, visited some of the most important research institutions, corporate laboratories and universities in Japan, including RIKEN, Chugai Pharmaceutical, Mitsubishi Chemical, Mitsubishi Tanabe Pharma, Keio University, Tokyo Institute of Technology and the University of Tokyo. The students, led by Prof. Hilal Lashuel and Dr. Sacha Sidjanski, also had the opportunity to present their activities to more Japanese audiences at a reception held at the Swiss Embassy hosted by the Chargée d'Affaires, Ms. Marianne Gramm.
