AMEN to that, some smart "kids" out there;).
Despite the turmoil that has existed between Ray and Dave through the years they remain THE MOST under appreciated rock group ever.
Ray Davies was the master song writer of his generation (with apologies to John&Paul)-in fact, the Beatles used to open for the Kinks in the UK in the early 60's.
I feel sorry for those who will never have the pleasure of seeing them live.
We Kink fans are a loyal, albeit relatively small bunch.

The Beatles NEVER opened for The Kinks. *"You Really Got Me," The Kinks first #1 hit in England only reached #7 in the U.S. in 1964*. The Kinks werent even formed until 1963 and by then The Beatles were already the #1 group in England. By Feb. 1964 The Beatles had conquered the U.S. as well .
