"great", now I also need to get a freqbox lol

sawtooth YUS. Gotta get a freqbox.... right after I buy my Etherwave, lol! Thanks for uploading this!

@avecbatterie ...control wouldn't be needed (the filtered pulse-train system gives you either wobbly bass tracking or sluggish high frequency tracking so need to adjust the filter to suit). This would make really open up the FreqBox to other instruments!
BTW I actually modified my original Etherwave to the Plus so the retuning wasn't hard), and ...

@avecbatterie That's a great idea, and I don't think that would be hard at all-the pitch output from the theremin is clearly labelled on the main board where the wiring loom from the converter board connects, and all you'd have to do is put a in a jack normalled to the theremin waveform output. You'd prob. need external preamp/compressor to keep the signal constant, but the Moog pitch/CV system is better quality than others (peak-peak timing vs lowpass filtering a pulse train) so the speed....

heh, thanks for the compliment - my intonation these days is ok with vibrato, but sounds pretty horrible without... unless of course i cheat and spread the intervals way out with the pitch knob which i have been often tempted to do just for recording purposes after playing the same run like a bazillion times sloppily. i just plugged in the freqbox the other day - for someone such as myself who doesn't own a moog synthesizer, the freqbox's internal oscillator is AWESOME - big warm and searing.

By the way, you have good intonation!!!

Its difficult simply using an expression pedal. The Delay sounds awesome with the theremin. Join the Moog Music Forum and come join the community!

Great video-sounds like the FreqBox bridges the gap between the Etherwave and the EW Pro's tonal palette.
I've been using my Plus with the MF lowpass filter and that's been a revelation, should be even better with this in the setup! You've pretty much sold me on getting a FreqBox...

Hey Daihong, definitely the sound palette is -greatly- expanded by the freqbox - i don't know if it necessarily gets all of the sounds of the etherwave pro, but i am pretty sure it gets you a lot of sounds that the etherwave pro cannot... although the freqbox doesn't help you achieve the "more linear playing field" that the etherwave pro has.
one interesting thing that i thought of is that the etherwave plus has a built in pitch to CV converter running off the theremin's audio...

this would seem to indicate that it could be possible to mod the etherwave plus so that you could send other audio inputs (like a pre-amped mic, or a guitar or other synth) to its pitch to CV converter to control other oscillators and filters and what-not. although you would not have the control over the conversion as you do with other pitch to CV converters (e.g., speed of the CV tracking and what not). and the extra wiring and jacks would probably require retuning, blegh!)
