  • You know what I've found is odd? I set the affinity to 1 cpu, then go into the settings and set it up to be on a single processor er whatever, and I get phenomenal performance.

  • Wow that awesome, but could you be more specific as in how to do that, Id wanna try on meh lappy?

  • Hi, I hope you can REALLY help me. Did you buy this game off Steam?? And Can you tell me the specs of your laptop and how much it costs. Thanks.

  • The game isn't off steam and my laptop is a Toshiba x205 S9810. Cost me about 1600 $ 1.5 year ago. Dont get it there are much better laptops for the price out there! ;]

  • can i run this on my dell xps m1730?

    specs :(Intel® Core™2 Duo Processor T8100 (2,40GHz, 800 MHz FSB, 3 MB L2-cache,

  • Hi. Can you tell us what is your laptop configuration (cpu, ram, brand laptop, etc.). And if possible, what version of the NVIDIA ForceWare installed on your computer, thank you very much.

  • why is mine so lag?

  • When you run the game, press cntrl+alt+delete then go to Task Manager, and it's "Processes" tab. Find left4dead.exe, right click it in the list, then go to "Set Affinity..."

If you are running a dual core cpu, uncheck just one of the boxes, then click ok. This sets the affinity to one cpu instead of breaking up the tasks across both cores. If you have quad, I don't know, but I guess uncheck 3.

In the Left4dead settings, the setting "optimize for dual cards" or something, turn that off

  • Ahh right thanks.

But don't you need steam for mods and etc?? (Sorry im a novice when it comes down to thinks like this.)

    Erm, what about these specs:

Processor (CPU): AMD Turion X2 RM70

    Memory (RAM): 4GB DDR2

    Hard Drive: 250GB

    Optical Drive: Blu-Ray Drive

Display: 16" High Definition 16:9 LCD

Graphics: ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3650 512MB
