Good lord, look at the size of that scope around 40 minutes in. Thermal imaging equipment has come a ways since the time this show was made.
-
@kaynie143 Yes it is. To the civilian firearm world it was known as the mil-spec ammo.
-
@1stMarineCapt is it the green tip?
-
@kaynie143 Same round but improvement with steel tip, heavier grain and lead free core.
-
chinese the Types Type 95
-
@kaynie143 the m4,m16a1,a2,a3,and a4 all use the 5.56x45mm ammo.
-
the m16a2 uses different ammo?? what ammo??
-
@F0XSQUAD Not really.
-
@Primeda Well in the combat situation of Vietnam many soldiers and Marines use M2/M3 Carbines and Thompson then. Don't underestimate the thing - 150 yards of effective range isn't bad.

Why not use the tommy gun or m3 grease gun?if they used them,then probably the m16 would have not been invented...

@Fan321100 Range. The 45acp has no where near the range of .556.

@1hogfan83 and accuracy isn't important at all, isnt it?

@Chemowski Controllability isn't important either apparently. It bothers me when people look at firearms so black and white then just declare something to be the perfect ultimate end all be all. Every choice is a compromise.
