Officially known as the Dirty Dozen for its 13 severe climbs ranging 18-37% over 50+ miles, it might be more accurately called The Hell of the Hills. Why is it so hellish? For its multiple 6-8 minute anaerobic efforts at cadences below 50rpm, in usually frigid, often windy, and sometimes wet conditions.
