What to Do With a Corrupted USB

One day my memory stick suddenly became corrupt, it became permanently write-protected and i tried everything to get rid of the write-protection and nothing worked, not even magnetising it, not burning it, still worked... still write-protected, I got so fed up and this is what happened...

Or you could run diskpart and reclaim the space... I couldn't watch this, any kind of brutality is intolerable.

That's too bad. You've wasted a flash drive. Recently my friend's UFD was write protected by itself. I was unable to format it using windows format utility, but I used easeus partition master and able to format it. Believe me it works.

Man, you also killed your axe. Not sure about the memory stick, though. Burn the remains to be sure everything is gone ("Kill it with fire"), then flush parts of the ashes in several toilets around the globe.

BTW: Did you check if the write-protection switch was malfunctioning?
