This is one of my favourites and when i listen to it, it has the most calming effect on me.
I have to attribute this to Shaikh Abdul Basit's voice. His voice has so much resonance at different levels & so much emotion, together with precise control when he recites the Quran.
Many can recite but very few can put you in a involuntary grip which forces you and draws your attention, so the only thing you can do is . . . . . to listen.

it is true that abul basit is a very good reciter of the quran...Mashallah Allah has blessed him, but do not go to far with his praises or u might be glorifying him instead of Allah remember brothers dat is da satans objective. Staay true to ur deen..Peace
