On June 1, 2009, WE Tactical Training International (WETTI), assisted by The War Store, conducted a training and demonstration day of the WE gas blowback M4A1, CQB-R and M16A3. The location was the 5th Ranger Training base in Dahlonega, GA and was attended by SWAT and US Military personnel. The WE models demonstrated were the AWSS series (Advanced Weaponry Simulator System), a powerful, rugged, high-quality, anodized, full metal airsoft weapon system aimed at replacing Simunitions as a Mil/LE training platform.

  • I don't understand this. Why would you spend a bunch of money on an air gun? I'm not trying to belittle your hobby, but wouldn't you rather shoot a real weapon?

  • ummm...because you can shoot an airsoft gun at another person....not exactly something you want to do with a real gun unless you want to spend the rest of your life in an 8'x10' box.

  • Ok, I was just wondering, because in the video they were just target shooting. Do they shoot paint balls?

  • they are gas blowback airsoft guns designed for the military and law enforcement training market. they shoot heavyweight precision airsoft BB's between 0.30g and 0.43g in weight each pellet.

  • Cool, we used to use inert 5.56 and 9mm paintball rounds, but I guess it's cheeper for agencies to use this type of system. I know some places like Alameda County SWAT team still uses the inert paintball rounds because I have a couple of buddies there that said they still train with them.

  • Simunitions is extremely expensive and there are many training injuries due to the velocities involved. Airsoft is being quickly adopted by LE/Mil agencies for training purposes. The level of realism is nearly as good, the equipment and ammo is vastly less expensive, and the potential for injury is virtually nil. Also, because the BB's don't leave marks, they are appropriate for use inside buildings; e.g. our local SWAT teams run scenarios inside schools in the summertime. The BB's leave no mess

  • @TheWarStore would love to be a part of a real swat/ police simulation that would awnestly make my day instead of a real one with the chances they see my airsoft and think its a real gun id prefer it be a closed quarters match lol

  • @queefer02 Simu-nition!!! Shot this in the CF. On problem, any closer than 8-10m and the potential for an ACTUAL kill with headshots is there. Not so with Airsoft. I Do appreciate you Non-flamming attitude though!!!!

  • @queefer02 because differing firearms laws prevent people from enjoying the sport plus not everyone has the right to bear arms.

  • For this kind of training, they might want to use the Inokatsu M4A1 SOPMOD Super Version MTW; It's more realistic with its larger amount of recoil, I believe.

  • @queefer02 bbs

  • @queefer02 Also it's not that easy in some countries. I play airsoft because I love airsoft and it means I get to shoot people without the danger - it's fun and it's my hobby. I'd love to own real firearms for target shooting etc (expecially pistols) but sadly they are illegal in the UK. Please remember that not everyone on YouTube is from the USA with access to the same types of firearms. Thanks.

  • @TheWarStore YES!!! best response I've ever heard to those type of questions haha.

  • lol the SWAT did training at my school over the summer. apparently airsoft is still pretty uncommon so they paintballed all over my school sigh,

  • Is there any way to make the extreme power (up to friggin 600fps<.<) channel more into the recoil system?

Because i´m still thinking about buying one, but without a hefty recoil (shot both a WEM16 and a real G36, and even when the G36 has virtually no recoil to manage, the WE is still lower) it would just seem like a waste of money....

  • I would love to shoot real guns, but, laws in the UK are very strict on Firearms ownership and guns here are very expensive, along with the complex and expensive process of getting yourself a firearms license.

For me in the UK, airsoft guns are cheap, easy and a hell of a lot of fun.
