So here we have a the NDAA act supported by both Democrats and Republicans and yet any citizen without their head up their ass is completely against it and we call this a system of REPRESENTATION. The republic is a dream that once was... sadly.

I am sensing the tipping point is fast approaching in the US of essentially excessive taxation without real representation. We all know what happened the last time that happened in the 1770's. Do our representatives in Congress actually think that most Americans would support a fellow American who is under suspicion of collaborating with terrorism can be arrested by the military and held with no due process?

the language of the NDAA was nebulous on purpose because the people who wrote the NDAA and the man that, in his New Year's Eve party hat, signed the bill, think that the American people are all idiots with "sucker" tattooed across their foreheads.

Saying that the Greek's just lost militarily and that was the only reason their democracy wasn't self correcting is to misunderstand the state of empire as you're not looking at the cause of war. Not only had the Democratically run country continually voted for building their empire, but they over expanded it. Also don't leaders of the US get democratically elected? Like I said define democracy, because democratic representation and democracy are different things.

Self-correcting means it destroys the things which come up which attack it, which it has.

I contend your recollection of history is in error and that Greek democracy has indeed exceeded this goalpost.

A loss of democracy from EXTERNAL INVASION can't every apply since a REMOVAL of invaders is still possible by what remains. Only internal removal of democracy counts.

As I mentioned, Hitler, elected by democracy. THAT is a real example only.
