There seems to be so much more Tanya on youtube; I'm so glad. I wish there was more Wieland Kuijken also. Tanya is a freakin master of baroque cello; I wish we had her complete bach suites videos on youtube (like maisky for example). Thanks for posting this.

Very nice through-phrasing throughout, and I agree with her re-inversion of the Ge6 before the final cadence--the only reason it's not written that way is because the scordatura notation interferes with clarity. Disagree with the terce a Piccardie though.

The E natural at the end, sometimes referred to as a "Tierce de Picardie" is clearly marked in Anna Magdalena Bach's autograph ms.

I really like this cellists Bach! All gut strings add interesting flavor, but not as clean as metal. Does anybody else find her D string "raspy" in fast passages? The few time I try to play on pure gut,clean string crossings were difficult.

Try the high resolution sound at iFilm or Stage6 for a less metallic sound.
