@BarerMender Can't tell you how much I identify with your statement. For me it was "Com'in Home Baby" on Herbie Mann at The Village Gate and I was the same age. I didn't understand it but I knew it was good. Best, KG

@spactick There are others. Bill is gone. What a legacy.

This is such a great song to sit by the fireplace and sip hot apple cider with a good book.

This a great rendition of this song! Another great version of this song to check out is the Freddie Hubbard version from the album Straight Life. That version features Ron Carter on Bass, George Benson on Guitar, and of course Freddie on Flugelhorn.

The first jazz piece I ever fell in love with. I was fifteen and had never listened to anything but country and popular. I knew I didn't understand it, but I knew it was good.

@jazzmusic1937 Until that far off day comes, go out and show everyone that you can, in any way that you can, the beauty you have found in the music. All good things to you.
