I live in Soc Trang ok. we have a special highschools for Khmers. we called them "truong dan toc noi tru". the Khmer students get money every month from gov to support their study when attending these highschools. when sitting the university exam, the Khmer students get extra 5 bonus marks which can make a very different. when attending uni, they study for free, live free in dormitory, get pay for every month. what else do you want????

they let you speak your language but the vietnamese won't let you open school to teach khmer language. the communist take away your lands so you can not grow anything for food. When you are poor you can not keep up with the KING ethnic. in vn it's not even a handfull of khmer krom who are able to finish high school

to the people of soc trang,i was just 18 when i first came to your town in 1967,i was with one of a aviation outfits at that time,i stayed there for two years and in spite of the war,when i came home,a part of me always felt soc trang was a home and time were i grew up,i will always love the town and the people.....

Well at least the Vietnam government does not requires them to speak only Vietnamese as what Thai's government did to Vietnamese refugees. Thai's why Thailand got hit hard on the Tsunami last time, lol, a little off topic thou...
