@YourLoveLetter The other person assumes the government or some agency is going to be there for you when the reality of it all is they likely won't be. Majority of people if you ask them do not have enough food for the members of their household to last 5 days. Of course you should prep a bit and make sure you have at least two weeks of goods on hand just in case. Always have a plan for things like storms if you have to flee the area. Be prepared just in case.

@pedrosbikeiscool that makes no sense. If you build towers of food and water in the basement and a hurricane hits its useless. Getting the fuck out of town when they tell you a massive hurricane is going to hit is the best prep you can do for a hurricane. Those people were all warned in advance, they chose to stay because they didn't have enough money to leave, and various other reasons. Saving gas money would probably be the first step those people could have taken in prepping....

Add a small first aid kit. Also should be kept in your car so it is always where you are.

@johnny102marvin not for 72 hours lol...That would be for a longer survival type kit.. you can live off the food in your house though for 3 days. And if you have to leave your house because of a natural disaster there will be shelters set up and they wont let you bring weapons there.
