I realized today that eating off of silver is probably the smartest thing people ever stopped doing. Silver kills bacteria, virii and germs better than any chemical we've ever invented.

I just wanted to advise folks here, that selling your silver will probably cost you more money in health problems. It was only when FDR seized everyone's precious metal that we ever stopped. So don't ever sell your silverware, folks!

Use the aluminum foil,baking soda in a pyrex pan along with 1 spoon of salt.

You should NEVER rub silver.

Not a bad idea, it works and is way cheaper than buying 'commercial silver cleaner' which is full of chemicals. You have to use the old fashioned abrasive type of toothpaste though, not the 'gel' type. Baking soda also works.
