  • Hey Chica...I have never had a pic line...AMAZINGLY, I have had my port for 11 years now...it works fine but it does act up every now and then. Honey, I get sick EVERY time the weather changes here and the Florida cold is bad b/c it gets into my bones. Itz so humid here itz ridiculous... We gotta talk again b/c we have to compare our triggers. Itza pleasure getting to know you. Love you my sista...Stay STRONG

  • By the way I treat EVERY patient of mine in pain as if they truely have pain.

I believe them.I hate it when fellow Nurse's don't believe in someone's pain.

  • I get the same thing at our local hospital with pain meds & I don't have sickle cell.

Dr Richard Ward has written on my files 'opiate addict'. What?! "

He can drop dead.I would LOVE to see him in my pain.

  • We are treated like drug addicts and told that the pain is all in our heads. It is really hard and you are so very brave to show this part of the struggle you have with Sickle Cell. Keep telling your story and letting the world see how people with Sickle Cell patients deal with the pain and the harsh treatment. YOU ROCK

  • Sounds horrible. Do these convulsions happen at any time and without notice?

  • I hope you get well soon.
