  • The actresses that played Edith and Ida were both 25 when this film was made. I am not sure how old the actress who played Amy was but if she was young, she was supposed to be as I believe her character was a teenager. They were two young ladies who were supposed to be playing two young ladies. Would you rather 40 year olds playing 20-somethings? But I think I know where you are going. The movie doesn't really feel as though it was set in that time frame. But the ages were actually appropriate.

  • The actors in these movies are getting younger and younger..... they don't look like ladies...they look like young children in their mothers' clothes playing dress up. The dirrectors need to keep the characters a decent age.... like Pride and Prejudice and Ema and Sense and Sensability etc.... the girls in those movies were able to hold the part well b/c their bodies fit the clothes and their faces showed better acting of emotion etc....

  • Stopped watching when they used "okay"...seriously, people. Who wrote that script?

  • @smegoffgit hahahaha... that cracked me up!

  • @LoveMokes Maybe they are not getting younger but we are getting older?

  • Summary Evenswood estate in Concord, Massachusetts, Edith Adelon, an orphan, lives as the paid companion to the daughter of wealthy Hamilton family. Years ago, Henry Hamilton saved Edith from an Italian orphanage at the request of his long-deceased brother. Now, Edith is his daughter Amy's friend. The Hamiltons await a trio of visitors for the Greens-Cup horse-race, Beatrice Hamilton asks for Edith's help in finding husband for a cousin, Ida Glenshaw with one of two visiting eligible bachelors.

  • @LoveMokes

these actresses are at a decent age. it doesn't seem so to you now for a couple reasons i would suspect. the first being that now it is strange for a lady to marry at a young age. another being that the film industry accommodates for this change by using a woman to play a young girls part. Personally i am relieved to see a younger cast. I also want to say that the actress who played Edith is beautiful!

  • @LoveMokes and how are you to know how pple looked or dresses in the time frame you wasnt born then so u have no clue and there arent suitable to judge or pick apart anything but indeed everyone is entitled to their own opinion so go ahead and think wat u like and pay no mind to ur own ignorance as u been doing all along

  • @Ardwynna Watch any of the Grease movies. I've never seen so many "teens" with crows feet or bald spots.
