Pokemon Crystal - Gym leader Falkner

Disclaimer:
Outcomes of the Battles may vary; I'm merely doing these vids to show one of the many possible ways to defeat these Gym leaders, without using cheats. And by "without cheats", I mean using Pokémon and moves available to players at the time of their progress, so you can't exactly use a Kangaskhan with Dynamic Punch punch against Falkner, for example.

So, I started out with a Totodile, but I wanted to break away from tradition for a change and not use a starter in my party, so I released it and used a Rattata as a placeholder until I caught my first Pokémon in this particular game file, which was Teddiursa, and named him Ted. Found it completely by accident, I wanted a Zubat! Then I caught a Growlithe in Route 36, named it Blaze and deposited the Rattata. The reward for defeating Falkner is a Pokémon egg containing Togepi. Hatches knowing Growl and Charm and, if shown to Professor Elm as either Togepi or Togetic, you receive an Everstone.
