I loved this commercial. I have a set of these books. I went to e-bay to see what they were worth today, and they're quite inexpensive. Anyone looking to pick them up should check e-bay.

As a child I use to stop whatever I was doing when this commerical came on just to watch it. Been tryin to find those books since I was young. This is the first time I have seen that commerical in probably 20 years

I remember the kicker to one of these was this pale (but attractive) woman staring into the camera and saying something like "Just because you've never seen a witch... doesn't mean they don't exist" (CHILLS!)

I saw commercials like this one too many times as a kid... really scared the pants off me (not the books, never got near 'em, I mean the commercials!)

Lol, same here. "Night creatures" and "Ghosts" were the worst for that. Now some of the stuff is still pretty creepy but it doesn't scare me.

I only have 8. I thought that was all there were. My mom didn't order them from the commercial though, she got them somewhere else.

Found some back at a used bookstore... Superb volume.
Never saw this commercial back in the days, it's fun to revisit the marketing campaign as I rediscover these book!
