Wouldn't it be great if we had a system that allowed electric cars to not just charge up but also store and transmit electricity? Scientists are working on it, but vehicle to grid (V2G) has some speed bumps to overcome.
I disagree. His point wasn't that nobody would ever figure out what to do, just that V2G will require changes in how we view and deal with our vehicles.
Something as simple as bringing a reusable bag to local stores has been socially problematic. Many salespeople still want to give me a plastic bag. One guy tried three times to give me a bag because he was so used to doing just that. These automatic reflexes take time to change.

The comments about us knowing how to use gas stations and how it's part of our culture may be true but they don't mean squat.
Nobody knew how to use computers or the software that goes with them before they hit the scene.
No one knew how to use iPods or cell phones either before they went from zero to 60 in consumer acceptance.
How many more examples do you want me to give you because I could go on and on.
The Legacy dude who talked about the old school way of doing things is out of touch.
